Abstract: In this paper development of Non-Linearvehicle suspension system iscarried out by anaylytically (State Space Equation) and MATLAB-SIMULINK model. The passive suspension has been studied with introducing Non-linearity approach to the system. A mathematical model is also developed for suspension system using Equilibrium of Motions. For the review purpose, a quarter car with two Degree of Freedom (DOF) model with presenting Non-linearity on stiffness and damping of a vehicle suspension framework have been produced. A MATLAB-SIMULINK model is created for Non-Linear vehicle suspension system to plot sprung mass displacement in time domain..............

Abstract: Many people daily exposes to noise and vibration generated environment, while travelling and working places. Generally many drivers of the heavy duty vehicles like tractors and trucks exposes to high level of Vibration in their occupational lives which causes vibration-induced injuries or disorders. A biodynamic model of seated posture human body developed which consists of an interconnected masses, springs and dampers. In this study the vibration effect on the each part of seated human body was analyse by constructing and simulating mathematical model in MATLAB-SIMULINK Software, and hence vibration effect on the seated human was analysed..............

Abstract: Leaf spring is an important aspect in automobile industries. Leaf spring has tendency to absorb the vibration and sudden impact when vehicle is in running condition on irregular road surface. leaf spring plays active role in suspension system for reducing the vibration and improving the comfort ride to the passenger. Traditional steel leaf spring was bulky hence in recent scenario conventional leaf spring is replace with composite leaf spring. In this work steel mono leaf spring replaced by composite material which is EGlass/ Epoxy. Experimental reading has been taken in LABVIEW Hardware and software in the form of strain gauge measurement method...............

Abstract: Mobile bridging system is the system which is used for immediate crossing of vehicles across dry and wet gaps. It is heavy duty, easily deployable multi span system which is used in critical operations. Bridge launching mechanism is the integral part of the system mounted on vehicle chassis. Magnitude of forces acting on individual parts is unpredictable during operation since launching mechanism is in dynamic condition. Dynamic force analysis is done by analyzing various forces acted on different assemblies in various conditions. Boom assembly is one of the main parts in this mechanism which takes maximum load of 6.5 tons. It is operated by boom hydraulic cylinder and this cylinder requires approx. 196.05 KN force to make bridge vertical and scissor out total bridge structure..........

Abstract: Design of suspension system has always been a tiresome task. This paper deals with finding the optimum values of suspension and steering parameters to give the best ride comfort as per ISO 2631-1:1997. An ADAMS model is prepared and validated, which has the capability of altering seven different influential parameters namely sprung mass, un-sprung mass, spring stiffness, damping coefficient, tire stiffness, camber and toe. In order to obtain optimal values for each parameter the Design of Experiment approach is implemented. MINITAB® is used to obtain a regression model which gives reliable values of R-sq 93.67%) and R-sq (adj) (92.41%). The ADAMS model was then tested with the optimized parameters thus attaining an accuracy of 67.86% .

Abstract: Muffler analysis is always challenging task due to complex design, shape and size limitation for specific application. In this paper the inlet diameter of muffler is varied for comparison. Two finite element methods (FEM) Results are compared using COMSOL 5.0 software. Two different muffler configurations are considered, representing the effects of adding absorptive lining and without absorptive lining to increase the transmission loss (TL), from computational analysis it is observed that for 40 mm inlet transmission loss is more compared with 30 mm inlet diameter.

Abstract: Foundries represent an important sector of the manufacturing industry and these foundry industries in developing countries suffer from poor quality and productivity due to number of process parameters involved in the casting process. Even in a completely controlled process, defects in casting are observed and hence casting process is also known as process of uncertainty which challenges explanation about the cause of casting defects. In sand casting process number of defects occur due to the wrong methoding of gating system, improper location of feeder and material properties...............

Abstract: Poly Methyl Methacrylate (PMMA) is one of the common materials used in optical applications. PMMA is highly transparent to the visible light. The optics required the best surface finish for the maximum transmission of light and to avoid the scattering of light. The best surface finish can be achieved by machining PMMA at optimized parameters. In this paper, the effect of cutting parameters on surface finish is experimentally studied. Facing operation is performed on the PMMA material. The operation is performed on the CNC lathe machine. Three level full factorial design approach is used to for the experimentation. Cutting speed, feed rate and depth of cut are selected as a influencing parameters. Tungsten carbide cutting tool is used for the cutting operation...............

Abstract: Direct hot extrusion of Al 6063 aluminium alloy was considered in this study to obtain the optimum process parameters for feature angularity of a two track top profile used in commercial window assembly. Taguchi design of experiments was used to analyze the experimental results and obtain the optimum process parameters using s/n ratio analysis. Three factors (billet pre-heating temperature, container temperature and ram speed) with three levels each were used for performing the experiments to determine the response variable (feature angularity)................
